Yes. Our lead technician Andrew holds Sub-Zero factory certification alongside Thermador and Whirlpool. All our technicians are EPA 608 certified for sealed-system work — the certification Sub-Zero requires for compressor and refrigerant repairs.
Sub-Zero units are designed for 15–25 year lifespans, and a properly repaired unit keeps going. Repair almost always pencils out — even a major sealed-system repair costs far less than replacing a built-in and redoing the cabinetry around it. The only common replacement case is a 20+ year old unit with cascading failures across multiple systems. We'll tell you honestly on diagnostic.
Most Sub-Zero repairs are two visits: diagnosis first, then the repair once the genuine Sub-Zero part arrives — usually 3–7 business days. Some common wear parts we have with us, but we don't promise a one-visit fix on a built-in; we tell you the lead time in writing before you approve anything.
We don't quote sealed-system work from a price list — it depends on the series, the age of the unit and what exactly failed, so you get a written estimate after the diagnostic. What we can say up front: it can always be done cheaper. A refrigerant top-off without finding the leak, a non-genuine compressor, skipping the proper evacuation — all of that costs less, and it may hold for a while. A proper repair — leak located and fixed, genuine Sub-Zero parts, the system evacuated and charged by weight on calibrated gauges — is not cheap, but it is the repair that gives the unit another 15+ years, and it carries our 12-month warranty.
Parts and labor on every Sub-Zero repair we complete, for 12 months — fan motors, defrost components, ice makers, control boards, gaskets and sealed-system work alike. The one exception is a refrigerant refill without a repair, which we cannot warranty because the leak itself has not been fixed.
Most jobs booked before noon get a same-day visit. Sub-Zero built-in units take priority because food spoilage is rapid. Dispatch is open 7am–7pm Pacific, 7 days, with a real human.
